As the civil aviation capital of the world, Montréal is pleased to welcome the delegates attending international Civil Aviation Week. This event is an opportunity to discover our city and to highlight the importance of this field of activity.
Civil aviation is a strong economic lever for Montréal. In addition to bringing together several world leaders representing the aeronautics and aerospace industries, Montréal is home to a number of high-profile international organizations involved in civil aviation, including the International Civil Aviation Organization, International Air Transport Association, Airports Council International and the International Federation of Air Line Pilots’ Associations.
During the week of September 26th, Montréal will host several major events involving civil aviation, including the 39th Assembly Session of the International Civil Aviation Organization, Airports Council International World Conference and Exhibition, and others. Also, Montréal will celebrate Montréal-Trudeau’s 75th anniversary.
I would like to remind international participants that Montréal will celebrate its 375th anniversary next year, and Canada its 150th. I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to be part of the celebrations.
Denis Coderre, Mayor of Montréal
